Richard O. Scribner, Esq.
Richard Scribner was the former President & CEO of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, Incorporated (RFB&D) until he retired from that position.
Prior to that, Mr. Scribner was the managing director, and co-chief compliance officer, at Salomon Smith Barney. Before joining the investment company’s predecessor, Smith Barney, in 1988, Scribner spent eight yearsas senior vice president for legal and regulatory affairs at the American Stock Exchange. He was senior vice president and general counsel to the Securities Industry Association from 1968 to 1980. He is a frequent lecturer on legal and securities industry topics. |

A 1958 graduate of Princeton, Scribner received his LL.B. from Columbia in 1963 and practiced law for several years. He has been an active Princeton alumnus for many years, having served on the executive committee of the Alumni Council from 1981 to 1989, the last three years as chair. He has been chair of the National Annual Giving Committee since 1995. Scribner also holds leadership positions with Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic and with Phillips Exeter Academy, also an alma mater.
